A GROWING LOVE
Ed and Heidi’s marriage didn’t only tie them to each other – it also brought their families closer. The couple’s parents reunited with old friends. Kay and her husband, Keith, became close friends with Fiona and Jonathan, Ed’s parents. Both parties enjoyed spending time together and sharing their love for travel and how it was such a significant investment.
Ed and Heidi were as happy as they could be, especially with how things worked out for them and their families. It was funny how their relationship started, but the ending was extraordinary, and the journey was even sweeter. IS IT A LOVE STORY?
Another couple with a beautiful story is Karen and Dennis. Unlike their peers, Ed and Heidi, the former faced difficulties in their relationship. Both people were different to a degree, yet they felt this unusual attraction towards one another.
They first met way back in high school. The year was 1958, and the two of them seemed to be in two different worlds. Karen was a quiet, nerdy girl, the one you’d most likely overlook. Dennis was the school’s football superstar. This match seemed to be what you would often see in an overly hopeless romantic movie.
UNEXPECTED BUT NOT UNWANTED
Karen and Dennis attended prom together in 1960; heads turned, jaws dropped as they went hand in hand, feet grazing the flooring, eyes only on each other. Their relationship started from there, with Dennis mustering up all the courage he had to ask Karen to be his date. It seemed surreal how the superstar would have noticed the quiet girl, but he did, and Karen would later recall how the other girls in their school became jealous of her.
Their relationship quickly became serious, and the two were inseparable. Both looked forward to the plans they made, such as spending their lives together and building a home together. Unfortunately, an incident occurred which stood in the way of their relationship.
WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
Unlike Ed and Heidi, this young couple didn’t have such a sweet or lucky journey. At such a young age, the couple was hurtled into the harsh reality of an unexpected pregnancy. Karen, 15, was pregnant with Dennis’ child. Dennis decided to propose, but their parents were firmly against the marriage. Both of them had no investments and no bright future. In the end, it was decided that upon giving birth, they would give the baby up for adoption.
