Imagine what it would be like to have Carrie Bradshaw and Ferris Bueller for parents— a potential riot, right? Well, we’re certain James Wilkie is glad his parents are nothing like their iconic film and television roles. In reality, Matthew and Jessica are both calm and levelheaded, but certainly fun-loving as seen in the candid snaps and videos we’ve seen of the family online.

Recently, Jessica posted photos of him to celebrate his legality. In her post, it read, “My love for you is an ache and an honor. As you leap toward and into your future, I remain your privileged and steadfast, confidant, and joyful witness to the year ahead.” Even with the two of them working as a team, raising a child can be plenty challenging—add the fact that they have to balance their acting careers with it. You have to give them credit for excellent multi-tasking!
