MOLLY RINGWALD

Molly Ringwald was one of the ‘80s Hollywood sweethearts, with the credit going to her charismatic beauty and impressive acting skills. She first gained attention for her role as Molly in The Facts of Life. Ringwald is also known as John Hughes’ muse for her adorable face and was the Sixteen Candles screenplay’s inspiration.

Ringwald’s career continued to shine until she decided to leave Hollywood in her 20s, just before she reached ultimate stardom. In a 2017 interview, Ringwald said that she decided to go to Paris and live a normal life outside fame after experiencing a traumatizing encounter with her colleagues while doing a movie. She fired her manager and quit showbusiness after realizing that she was being taken advantage of. Ringwald appeared back on TV a few years later, landing roles for The Secret Life of The American Teenager and Riverdale. However, Ringwald still does not consider herself a full-time actress. She still wanted to be away from the spotlight as much as possible.
