MIRA SORVINO
American actress Mira Sorvino has earned both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress for her participation in the film Mighty Aphrodite in 1995. She made a few television works in the early 1990s, and only after three years, she got her first film job in the independent gangster movie Amongst Friends in 1993. Her acting performance charmed the public and created some buzz, which led her to be cast in two other films.
With all of her achievements, anyone would think that the actress surely has hefty insurance throughout her Hollywood journey. Sadly, her current status proves otherwise as Sorvino continues to participate in low-budget films and land small acting parts. The actress had issues in getting new roles, which ultimately led to the decline of her career. We could trace her misfortune back to when former film producer Harvey Weinstein banished her from major pictures following a complaint that she filed against him.
