PHOEBE CATES

Phoebe Cates is a former actress who rose to fame after her performances in Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Gremlins. Cates began modeling at the age of ten, appearing in Seventeen and other teen-oriented magazines. She decided to become a dancer after a couple of years and then became a famous model for a short time. Cates has been one of the most popular actresses of her generation, and she gained a lot of fans— both men and women, who all ultimately supported her as she started working on a successful Hollywood career. The actress, however, eventually abandoned her life in the limelight and decided to focus on her personal life.

In 1994, she finally retired from acting and dedicated most of her time and investment in her husband Kevin Kline and their children. Although, she participated in one more project called The Anniversary Party, which she did as a favor to its director, Jennifer Jason Leigh.
