MARA WILSON
Mara Wilson’s career started when she was very young. The child star took part in iconic productions such as Mrs. Doubtfire and Matilda. In 1994, she also played the role of Susan Walker in Miracle on 34th Street and once more secured a role in the 2000 fantasy adventure film Thomas and the Magic Railroad. Despite having a promising career, Wilson decided to leave the spotlight in 2000 in hopes of having a normal life. The young star wanted to be able to go to school like other girls her age.
After years of absence from the film industry, she built a career in professional writing and published her own autobiography, Where am I Now? True Stories of Girlhood and Accidental Fame. Wilson may have walked away from the spotlight and fame, but her investments in Matilda lingered as the movie became one of the most iconic productions for kids.
