JEANNE TRIPPLEHORN
Like many successful actors and actresses in the industry, Jeanne Tripplehorn also got her start in theatre. She appeared in a number of plays during the early nineties, including a production of Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov on Broadway. She later transitioned to film, following her role in Basic Instinct. This helped open the door to further opportunities in Hollywood. Over the years, she delivered memorable performances in the shows Big Love as Barbara Henrickson, and on Criminal Minds as Dr. Alex Blake.
Tripplehorn even received an Emmy nomination for her role as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the 2009 film, Grey Gardens. Her movie and TV credit may not be as lengthy as others on our list, but she certainly made every role memorable. The actress’ most recent role was for the 2020 miniseries Mrs. America, where she portrayed Eleanor Schlafly.
