He created the longest-running U.S. primetime television series in history, The Simpsons. It’s no surprise then that Matt Groening’s net worth has reached $500 million today. He is an American animator, author, television producer, and cartoonist, who was the brainchild behind the hit series The Simpsons and Futurama. Groening definitely received a lot of credit for his creations — from earning a massive fortune to winning 12 Emmy Awards to granting him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Simpsons is one of the longest-running shows on television today. He’s currently working on writing for another cartoon series called “Disenchantment.” Would this be another hit for Groening?
