It was looking good for Chris Brown during the first part of his career until Rihanna pressed charges against him in 2009. The rapper and musician have been releasing hit songs after hit songs, collaborating with big names early when he first started out. He even did a few acting jobs back then. However, Rihanna revealed that he had assaulted her in a fit of rage, and since then, Chris had a hard time getting back into the limelight. Having controversies and lawyers in the mix is not healthy for anyone’s career.

After all the issues have been resolved between them, Chris regained his success with recent releases of new singles. He’s back in talks with his legal representative again after assault charges were filed against him in 2013 and again in 2019.
