Popularly known for his screen name Jama Lyon from the hit TV series Empire, Jussie Smollett’s net worth bumped up to $1.5 million in recent years. Starting out as a child actor, he’s appeared in famous films such as The Mighty Ducks and North. After Empire, he’s also started appearing in several TV shows like The Skinny, The Mindy Project, and Revenge. Jussie may have a modest career right now but it’s obvious that he has the potential to become a big name in Hollywood. His appearances in various productions definitely increased his accumulated fortune to some degree.

However, in 2019, he faced a class 4 felony charge for filing a false police report after he staged a hate crime attack. The Chicago Police suspected that this was done to help his dwindling career.
