Bobby Gentry is an American singer and songwriter, who has accumulated a massive fortune, specifically a net worth of around $100 million. That’s quite the bank account for someone who’s known to be very secretive and elusive to the media. She is one of the few women who produced and composed their own material. Some of her popular singles include I’ll Never Fall in Love Again, Hushabye Mountain, He Made a Woman Out of Me, and her breakthrough single, Ode to Billy Joe. The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a month and everyone sang her song for years.

Her album Fancy may have been her most successful album to some degree as that got her nominated for a Grammy award. Even though she’s long retired, she released a new compilation album titled The Girl from Chickasaw County: The Complete Capitol Masters in 2018 which received critical praise.
