Johnny Depp rose to fame back in the ’80s, during his 21 Jump Street days. He was a heartthrob despite his bad-boy charm. However, he hit it big time when he landed the role of Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise. Aside from this, his films have collectively grossed over $3.4 billion in the U.S. and $8.7 billion worldwide. Some reports claim that his annual salary reached $100 million at one point, making him one of the highest-paid actors of all time.

While he could have easily increased his current net worth of $200 million, he needed to pay a whole lot of lawyer fees because of the numerous lawsuits he faced over the years. He has been in quite a messy situation with Amber Heard. Amber’s allegations of abuse made Depp lose a good number of endorsement deals. Fortunately, new evidence belying her claims has come to light.
